Northgate College Station Address & How to Get There
If you are heading to Northgate for the first time — or trying to tell out-of-town friends where to meet — this is everything you need to know about finding the district, getting there, and navigating it once you arrive.
Where Is Northgate?
Northgate sits on the north side of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. The district runs along:
- College Avenue — the main spine of the strip
- University Drive — the southern boundary
- Nagle Street and Stasney Street — the main cross streets
The Texas A&M north gate opens directly onto the southern end of the Northgate strip — which is how the district got its name.
GPS Address: 307 University Drive, College Station TX 77840 (Dixie Chicken — dead center of the strip)
Distance From Campus
For Texas A&M students Northgate is essentially zero distance. The north gate of campus opens directly onto the strip.
- From Kyle Field: 5–8 minute walk north
- From Memorial Student Center: 10–12 minute walk
- From Northside dorms: under 10 minutes on foot

College Avenue is your home base. Most bars and restaurants are directly on it or one block off it. If you get turned around, find College Avenue and you are back on track.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft operate heavily in College Station and are the most reliable way to get to and from Northgate — especially on game days when parking is impossible and you should not be driving anyway.
Pro tip: Set your pickup location one block off the main strip before last call. The rideshare queue directly on College Avenue at 2am is chaotic. Walk half a block, get picked up in seconds.
Public Transit
Texas A&M Aggie Spirit Shuttle has stops near Northgate. Check current routes at transport.tamu.edu.
Bryan-College Station B-CS Transit also serves the area. Check btxbus.com for current schedules.
