Harry's Northgate

The most anticipated opening Northgate has seen in years. Harry's is 11,000 square feet sitting at the former Shiner Park location at 217 University Drive. Expanded dance floor, a live music stage, DJ nights, and two-stepping brought back to Aggieland. This is immediately one of the biggest venues on the strip and a natural anchor for the district going forward.

Rush Northgate
Former Foundation Lounge Space, Northgate District
Built on the old Foundies space, Rush Northgate brings a Houston-inspired dual concept to the district. Cocktail bar in the evening, full nightclub from 11pm to close. Rotating DJs every Saturday to keep the atmosphere fresh, neon interiors, and a vision to push Northgate's club scene to the level of what's normal in Houston. One of the most ambitious new concepts in College Station nightlife.

Good Bull Icehouse

College Station's only bar with a massive outdoor screen in the back and a full nightclub upstairs. Commanders Cove

A more intimate spot on the strip. Full bar, casual college crowd, and a lower-key atmosphere compared to the clubs nearby. Good option when you want to stay on Northgate but step back from the high-energy venues for a bit.

What Closed in 2025
Foundation Lounge (Foundies) — A beloved Northgate institution for years. Rush Northgate now operates out of the same space with a new concept and new energy.
Shiner Park — Known to generations of Aggies as "Minor Park." Closed August 2025. Harry's Northgate opens in this location Spring 2026.
VooDoo Brewing Company — Closed September 2025. Construction surrounding the location made operations unsustainable.
Daisy Dukes — A longtime Northgate staple known for its 50 cent wells and loyal crowd. No longer operating as of 2026.
Northgate Proper — No longer operating as of 2026.
Tips for a Northgate Night in 2026
Thursday is the new Friday. Aggies treat Thursday like the start of the weekend. The district fills up fast and most bars are running full Thursday-night specials.
Don't drive in. Parking on University Drive is a battle on weekends. Rideshare or use the Northgate Parking Garage on College Main and walk the strip.
Bar hop on foot. Every bar on this list is within walking distance of the others. That's how Northgate is meant to be experienced — start at one end and work your way through.
Construction is almost done. The ongoing Northgate construction projects are expected to wrap in the next 18 months. More pedestrian traffic and more business energy is coming.
